First, let me preface this post by saying that I LOVE Victoria’s Secret. Seriously, I love it so much that I worked there and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Moreover, I spend more money there every year than anyone really should… I do love me some PINK sweatpants. That being said, I am still super confused about the VS PINK line.
Like most girls, I have a ton of PINK stuff. I wear it to bed, on roadtrips, to lounge around the house on a lazy Sunday, and occasionally, in college, I would wear it to class (especially to those pesky Friday classes). However, I see a ton of girls wearing their PINK stuff to parties, on dates, and other places where you wouldn’t necessarily find loungewear. And that always gets me confused…
Is PINK loungewear or just casual wear??
I always thought PINK was supposed to be super cute PJ’s. But apparently I am wrong, because I always see girls rocking PINK, and looking cute, everywhere. So anyway, I would love to hear what you have to say… Do you wear your PINK clothes as loungewear? Or do you wear it out?
On a different note…
I was feeling rather nostalgic today; so I read the work of one of my favorite children’s poets, Shel Silverstein. He has this great poem called Prayer of the Selfish Child. I love this poem because it’s so funny and simple. Yet I think the poem can speak to more than just children.
I decided to write my own version:

and as for PINK, I don’t own any but i know what you mean – and i think it should be loungewear only. wearing jogging pants to parties or in the mall is beyond lazy and like a fashion give-up (in my opinion) but around your house or in emergencies (like friday classes..) is understandable

I love Shel Siverstein. I still will occasionally shed a tear when I read The Giving Tree.
About pink, I am wearing pink sweatpants right now! I do wear it as loungewear and PJs..although, I do wear my loungewear out occasionally

I adore pink!! When I was younger and I mean like a year or two ago
everything was pink. I still adore wearing pink and its my favourite colour! My favourite shade is rose pink!

I don’t own any PINK…no VS in Canada and when I go Stateside I tend to hoard designer jeans (150 US vs 250 CDN + 13% tax…hmmmm). I’m not one for loungewear out though, even in my Juicy tracksuit, I’ll go to the gym or make a quick run to the grocery store.

I have always considered Pink stuff to be casual. I wear it to bed and yeah, I used to wear it to class in college, like you. But I would never ever think to wear it to a party or out on a date or something. I mean, sweatpants are sweatpants, no matter how cute they are. Lol.

I wear VS for both night wear/lounge wear and also day time wear, depending on the item. I think the society we live allow about everything to be for either or, crazy and it may seem.
