Any fashionista who is worth her Manolos knows how to find a good sale. However, sometimes we just can’t be bothered with the digging and the hunting and the pushing and the competition for the proper size and all of the other manual labor it takes to find the perfect sale item. Happily, some stores have sales all of the time. And for that, I would like to personally celebrate the top three stores that have glorious (and frequent) sales:
Dear Victoria’s Secret,
I love your lingerie. It makes my quite happy. Just when I thought you couldn’t get any better, you go and have a semi-annual sale. Now I can buy my cute, girly underpants and pj’s for up to 75% off! Whoop! Whoop!
Dear J. Crew,
You just might be my favorite store. Unfortunately, I am quite financially challenged due to the sharp, and quite tragic, nosedive the economy has taken as of late. Consequently, I just can’t seem to afford your $88 Italian tops, and $200 calf hair flats. Nevertheless, J. Crew, you always come to my aid. If I go to jcrew.com, I am bound to find something fabulous in your sale section. Hurray!
Dear DSW,
Whenever I see the rows and rows of glorious shoes that fill your store the brim, I do a little happy dance. However, I break into song when I see the constant stream of sale prices permeating the store. Thanks, DSW, without your sales, I may have found myself in the midst of a “fabulous-footwear famine”.

Hey Clare. Great post. I loved it. I was cash strapped even before the economy tanked, but things are even worse now. I do love a good sale. Old Navy is one of the places around here I always love to check out for good deals.
I can’t remember the last time I paid full price for something! I must hit the VS sale…I recently discovered their outpost store, Pink, and it transports me back to high school! I buy a lot at Saks Off Fifth…it’s so much fun to shop there! By the way, I love the Lily Allen does Holly Golightly for Chanel! So whimsical!!

I’m glad you found some amazing deals! When in NY I’m a sucker for Century 21 I go at 8am when I’ve got free range and I’ve found some amazing things. Sales in Toronto are nothing like they are stateside.
