I recently moved into my very first apartment. To keep the exposition short I’ll describe the apartment in one word: E M P T Y.
In college, my apartments were always furnished. However, now I must face the real world head-on and furnish my own place.
When the lovely Maureen from The Inglenook Decor approached me about featuring her online shop on Clarabelle, I was shocked. Her timing was impeccable. If I didn’t know any better I would have assumed she was some type of furniture goddess sent from furniture paradise to help me make my apartment fabulous. I immediately went browsing through her website and was thrilled with what I discovered.
Maureen’s beautiful collection can best be described as bucolic chic. It is tastefully tattered, farmlike, and oh-so feminine. Let’s take a look…

Quite gorgeous, right? To see more go to her glorious website . After that, do visit her wonderful blog.
If you are still in a decorating mood do visit Design*Sponge. While you cannot necessarily buy anything off of this site, the decorating ideas this blog provides are endless.

Have fun making your apartment fashionably fabulous!

Congrads on your new apartment!!! I remember my first place solo. It was great, but like your, Tres empty!! I hope you put up pictures of what you do with your new home once you have decorated it. I’m in the process of redoing my home now. Have you ever watched the show, Dress my Nest? The concept of choosing 3 style items and 2 personal items to inspire you when creating the “feel” of a room, really has helped me.
p.s. I do have to say, those lamps shown in one of the pictures are incredible and right up my style alley!

What lovely pieces!
Congratulations on your new apartment, hon! And don’t worry about it being empty. Even if it takes a long time to “fill” look around, take your time, spend on investment pieces even if it means saving 5 times longer, you’ll end up with pieces you love more and look forward to coming home. Ebay’s great for Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware window coverings too
LOL, $9.78 for one piece of tempura or one tempura roll cut into more pieces or one small bite-size roll? Everytime we’re in NYC we go to Nobu Next Door for Sushi. Sushi in Toronto is probably just a little bit less than Nobu Next Door’s prices. There are a *few* all-you-can-eat places and even *fewer* that serve super fresh pieces – and you have to drive out to the burbs for those

I’ll take all the signs and both of the clocks, s’il vous plait! I love the antique, rustic vibe that all of her offerings seemingly effuse. Gorgeous!

Love this. I can’t wait to decorate my own apartment =) And I just love the name “Inglenook Decor” so lovely! And the clocks are adorable, am staying away from her site for fear I’ll be trying to buy everything on it!

Wow, perfect timing! We’re in the process of buying our first house and I’m in desperate need of interior design ideas. I’ve even found myself visiting design blogs more and more in place of my beloved fashion blogs. Anyway, I love how everything is super affordable in her store. Great find!

oooh nice!! I love those lamps, so stylish. The clocks got some attitude too, great picks!
yeah man it’s very hard to make someone look worst with professional lights and make up artist. I dunno I never found Heidi Montag very attractive in the first place.. kinda got that horse face going on I think? lol

I’m a huge fan of Design Sponge. I rave about it all of the time. I have quite a few interior design blogs if you’re interested. I would also check out Domino:Book of Decorating. I’ve been trying to get a copy for ages. I heard it’s the interior design Bible.
