I think Fall is Fashionable Fabulous because you can do so much more with your clothes in the Fall. You can layer scarves, sweaters, skirts, tights, and other articles of clothes and accessories to get the perfect look. In the summer time, because of the heat, a less is more approach is best. You have a lot more to work with in the fall.

Fall is Fashionably Fabulous because Fall brings renew and reuse. You can take your summer clothes into the fall and reuse them and renew because you can buy new clothes to update your wardrobe. Chic!!

Happy 100th, Clare! I’m so proud of you!

Fall is fashionably fabulous because you get to wear beautifully colored structured clothing while sipping on a pumpkin latte! Cannot wait to get my leather jacket =)

  • Reply Quinn September 15, 2009 at 10:28 pm

Fall fashion is fabulous because you have sooo many different looks to explore. In the summer one is limited. Think about it. Shirts that you wear in the summer can be utilized in the winter, but not vice versa. You can layer by putting a long sleeve shirt under a cute tank. You can wear a very fashionable pair of fall leggings with your favorite summer skirt. You can also wear you favorite short sleeve T-shirt with a cute cardigan. Fall fashion is fabulous because you have more opportunities to express who you are through your clothes, infinite color choices, and mulitple accessories to choose from.

I’m not going after any makeup here BUT… Fall is fashionably fabulous because it gives us fellas another good excuse to put on our suits and ties(and scarves, too gents. Don’t be scurred!) and it helps us, to a small degree at least, get rid of that terrible beach bum/ skater bum/ generally lazy ass bum look that comes with summer.

And it’s football season. So for me it’s an excuse to wear my Denver Broncos paraphernalia!

  • Reply Mockoff September 15, 2009 at 11:55 pm

Fall is fashionably fabulous because it’s all about taking chances. Bold colors and layers allow style to be about more than one piece. It’s easier – it’s more fun.

Congrats on the 100th post. That’s great. Fall is fashionably fabulous for quite a few reasons. You can definitely layer your clothes, such as shirts, sweaters, scarves, etc. You can even wear some of your summer clothes, but add other layers to keep you warm.

  • Reply Ela September 16, 2009 at 12:11 am

100 posts already? Wow! That’s amazing, Clare. I’m looking forward to your next 100 🙂

Such a fabulous giveaway! Fall is fashionably fabulous because it allows for creativity – a mix of layers, of textures, rich hues and great footwear!

Congratulations on your 100th post! 🙂

Fall is Fashionably Fabulous because I get to wear all of my favorite vintage pieces. My 1950’s beaded cardigans, Frye boots and biker jackets. My grandmother’s knit berets and grandfather’s Fedoras. Original DVF wrap dresses, sailor pants and platform oxfords. There are so many wonderful pieces and such a short time to wear them all. *sigh*

Fall is fashionably Fabulous because not only can I bust out my cashmere sweaters, but I do not needed to hide them under winter coats.

Fall is fashionably Fabulous because of animal print and brightly colored trench coats and brown leather or suede boots that totally compliment the foliage.

Fall is fashionably fabulous because you can paint your face in super warm, golden colors-wine lip glosses, copper and gold dusted shimmery eyelids, burgundy colored nails.

My brown leather jacket I wear year round, but especially in fall, which is fabulous.

p.s. Your comment about the McDonalds and the moneys arm literally made me lol:)

    Yo Clare –
I think Fall is Fashionable Fabulous (love the alliteration by the way!) because the colors of nature are far warmer – and complimentary to everyone’s coloring.
Autumn allows for more layers, more usable accessories, and some great jackets (depending on where you’re living!). I also love the great boots this season. Can’t forget, it’s a great season for collaborating your summer favorites, with your winter go-tos – easy way to save money!
This blog is awesome, congrats lady!

  • Reply Liz September 16, 2009 at 11:30 am

Holler! Awesome stuff to give away and yay for 100 posts! The best reason why fall is fashionably fabulous? Layers, layers, layers.

  • Reply Greg September 16, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Fall is the best because you get to layer different colors and top it off with an awesome argyle sweater and scarf. All while drinking some pumpkin beer. Talk about stylish.

  • Reply dcfashiondeals September 16, 2009 at 12:53 pm

Fall is fashionably fabulous because of one thing – boots! Congratulations on your 100th post!

  • Reply Rebecca September 16, 2009 at 1:27 pm

JD and I love reading your blog! Your posts are so fun!

I concur with just about everyone above, but ya’ll forgot one very important reason Fall is fashionably fabulous! It’s the only season it’s fashionably acceptable to paint your face your school colors and wear your team’s jersey on game day! It’s a time when school spirit really shines through! (GO HOKIES!)

  • Reply Winnie Sabbat September 16, 2009 at 2:15 pm

I always loved Fall fashion because it gives everyone male and female more options when it comes to outfits. Boots, jackets, peak coats, shawls, hats, blazers, pants. Everything. I also love the colors, which are warm, works well with the clothes meant to keep us warm for the cooler season. I always looked forward to fall because it meant that a new season was starting as well as a new year was starting. Having recently graduated college, I always associated September as my new year. New year, new clothes, new attitude.

Congrats on your 100th post, it really is my coffee in the morning.

  • Reply Laura September 16, 2009 at 2:18 pm

I LOVE fall fashion… cute rainboots, comfy sweaters, layers (summer clothes can reappear), and hot boots. I kind of feel like doing a photo shoot in the rain with an umbrella right now (in my fall clothes).

Awesome giveaway! Congrats on your first giveaway!

  • Reply Deanna G. September 16, 2009 at 3:44 pm

I think Fall is fashionably fabulous because there’s so many different items & accessories to work with: scarves, boots, umbrellas, jackets, etc. In the summer you can’t wear as much stuff so you can’t accessorize too much but fall is just wonderful! And I love the color palette as well, so many great choices!

  • Reply Laurie September 16, 2009 at 10:18 pm

Fall is fabulous because of the smells, the scarves, the coats, the lack of humidity, and pumpkin flavored anything! Congrats on your 100th post!

  • Reply Erin B September 16, 2009 at 10:18 pm

Fall fashion. Is fabulous. My faaaavorite. All my collections are influenced by the change of season. I’ve revolved the orginization of my bedroom around my collections of every color/style Ugg, drawers of scarves (various colors and textures), shelves of sweaters… that sadly, I’ve only worn about once or twice because they get lost in my dishevelled folding, my beautiful (yet uncomforble because I have not found a good fit for me… BUT WHO CARES, I still wear them) flats, my candelabra (supposed to be used for candle sticks) stacked to the max with adorable hats – knitted, newsboy, big brim, vintage, small brim, tweed, handmade, beanies, floppy, mod, burberry, let’s just say I spend too much money on those… (again that I’ve only worn once or twice due to misplacement), and then there’s my most prized collection: my coats and jackets (yes. I wear coats and jackets in fall, I’m too excited to wait until it’s unreasonably freezing outside). Nothing can come between me and my coats and jackets! “Ma’am can I take your coat this evening?” I look at my boyfriend with terrified eyes, “No, she’ll hold onto her coat,” he always says.

But my favorite part of fall? The way my son looks at football games in his critter khakis, button up shirt and color coordinated sweater vest, his hair always a little bit longer and thicker than usual… comfortably running in the crisp, cool air.

Congrats on your 100, beautiful! You’re gonna be somebody 🙂

Obviously I am well opted out of this contest, being that we’re friends… so that would be unfair! Buuuuttttt what are friends for but to offer good advice from time to time (even if solicited lol) …

my vote is between Quinn & Holly J

Quinn has the personality & Holly has the all-around idea going on… every one in this post pretty much neglected that makeup is a HUGE fashion accomplice! So hmm… now that I say that, I’d say Holly J wins (in my opinion hehe). Who doesn’t love the warm & coppery tones of the fall on a woman’s face? I was so happy to pull out my fall odds & ends!

  • Reply Claresmom September 17, 2009 at 9:44 am

Fall is Fashionably Fabulous because even nature changes it’s wardrobe from green, green, and more green to red, yellow, brown, gold and orange{and perhaps just a little green}. And….. because my Clare has had her 100th post and is FABULOUS!!!

  • Reply Erin September 17, 2009 at 12:40 pm

Accessories, accessories, accessories! That is the main reason why fall is so fashionable. You can always break out the knee high boots, throw on some big earrings, and top it all off with a hat and look amazing. Another reason is being able to be daring with make-up. It’s time for dark browns, purples, maroons, and blacks to accentuate all your great features!

    Great giveaway, congrats!

fall is always fashionably fabulous because there is so many things you can layer and wear.
sequins ,, and scarves and leather jackets

    everything is so gorgeous .

  • Reply thebeautyfile September 17, 2009 at 9:51 pm

Fall is fashionably fabulous because the colors that the leaves turn are just so spectacular that we all have to wear them…from reds to purples to deep mustards to rich greens. All of these remind me of why I love fall and the changing leaves.

I also love breaking out those boots come crisp fall days….isn’t everything more fabulous with a pair of tall boots?

  • Reply Tricia Z September 18, 2009 at 10:13 pm

Fall is THE fashionable season. It is God’s way of letting he loves us and wants us to be pretty.

Not only does all that seasonal, amber, angular lighting make pores look tiny, but it makes you glow like a sex pixie (especially if you already use highlighter).

Then, add in that the weather allows us to wear the most flattering outfits of the year–summer’s skin-showing getups are sexy, but merciless when it comes to hiding flaws; winter can alternately be hot, scratchy, puffy or not warm enough, and ice is murder on stilettos; and spring is kind of a mishmash of fashion experiments and “Oh crap I put on 10 lbs. eating Christmas cookies and now these 509s don’t fit.”

ANYWAY, fall rocks. End of story.
