Be back soon…

This weekend I am attending a Hot Air Balloon Festival with my lovely boyfriend and his lovely family.

I actually have a great fear of party balloons from a bad childhood experience. I don’t like them being too close to me or my face. And I can’t watch anyone blow them up.

Nevertheless, they are very beautiful to behold… from a safe distance, of course. And hot air balloons are quite incredible. I don’t fear those nearly as much haha.

just curious, what happened during your childhood that made you not like balloons anymore. (that is, if you don’t mind sharing…)

  13. Funny…I can’t listen to people blow up balloons – the sound of their breath being expelled into them frightens me; and when they pop I literally jump out of my skin. Nevertheless, I absolutely adore them. Have a splendrous time, darling! :)

  14. Hope your weekend is as lovely as these photos, darling! Enjoy :)

Oh and sorry Clare, that’s kind of a sad phobia…they’re supposed to be happy :(
I always jump when I hear a balloon pop – LOL it actually puts an angry scowl on my face too…especially when people do it on purpose.
    Have a fabulous time, hon!

  17. I don’t think you understand how jealous I am of you. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go on a hot air balloon after seeing it on Little Bear. Even though I’m afraid of heights! You must post about your adventure! And all your photos are fantastic!

You know, when I was younger balloons freaked me out too. It was the movie It, that did it. All the balloons that burst with blood in one scene just made me hate them.

I do like hot air balloons though. They’re really pretty. I hope you have fun at the festival!!!

  20. gorgeous photos. i would love to fly in a hot air ballroom.
