Breaking News: There are NO black people in France

French Vogue recently demonstrated the dire situation they have found themselves in since every black person in France disappeared. In an effort to portray a black female, French Vogue was forced to paint a white model black.

Unfortunately, France was not allowed to hire black models from other countries to partake in this shoot. After every French black person disppeared, an angel from heaven decreed that France was to have no contact with black people outside of France for fear that they too might disappear.

The shocking results of the French-Black-Person-Extinction is depicted below.

Really, French Vogue, R E A L L Y ? ? Was there not a single black model that came to the casting call for this shoot?

What do you all make of this?

***Please note that this story is a parody of the ridiculousness of this photo shoot… I am aware that there are black people in France***

TOTAL LIE hell i was just in france not long ago and have a house there im freaking french and there are black people and models there so this is so stupid! they just wanted something to talk about so they said that and they did the model thing probaly because they didnt want a black model for whatever reason. they were not forced at all it was there choice they could have found a black model for the shoot.

  3. okay seriously?! this is riDONKulous! like really? they couldn’t just hire a black model. oh no they’d rather look like fools and just make one.

    nice. lol.

  4. That is so ridiculous. I am appalled actually!

  5. Oh the ridiculous minds of the fashion world…

  6. Black face seems to be making an unfortunate comeback. Did you see the clip of the Australian variety show where this group of white men painted their faces in spot on 50s black face and performed as the Jackson Jive? Harry Connick Jr. was there as a guest judge and let them know that it was horribly innapropriate and the host actually apologized, but how could they let something like that on the air? Someone should be schooled in history and how destructive things like that are. It’s not funny or “art,” it’s just plain dumb.

  7. Alia’s comment made me laugh.

Oh my someone went heavy on the bronzer….or ran out of make-up and had the models roll in cocoa powder? Seriously, I don’t get it. What on earth were they trying to do/say with this?
heehee, looks like you ruffled some feathers with your big fat lie, LOL, I die. I die. Cough, cough, okay now literally dying…
Have a great night, MC :)

  9. That is totally ridiculous. So awful. What in the world were they thinking!?! They need to get their act together.

  11. Hello Clare, I agree with you ! It’s ridiculous !

  12. i was reading the post and going, “WHAT?!!! as if there’s no black models in france!!!!!” but then i read the last bit, and it all makes sense now. hahaha.
i was going to comment on the whole “people painted their faces black for the jackson jive skit in an australian tv show”, but monique in her comment above beat me to it. haha. a lot of people have been saying that it was incredibly racist of that australian show to air something like that… so would the photoshoot be racist? i mean, it’s essentially the same thing: white people painting themselves black. :/ what do you think, clare?
but yes, what a ridiculous photoshoot, i agree!

  13. This is shocking! I’m totally appalled that they would do that. Have some sense vogue and show yourself a little respect. Honestly. Would it really have been that bad to hire a black model? I’m slightly horrified by this.

  14. Shocking, indeed!
In poor taste, it seems to me…

  15. Maybe they’re trying to make a statement? I’m not sure what it is but it’s kind of weird to paint someone black….hmm.. xxooxoxxo

  16. I read about this yesterday. I just love how this was NEEDED since there are apparently, as you stated, no black people in France. /sarcasm.

I don’t know. French Vogue is usually okay, but this was a really idiotic idea.

  17. I am seriously speechless on our blog world for once. Really?! Come on!

Hello! I just wanted to say i don’t find shocking models painted in black. At least, i don’t find them more shocking than those painted in white or photoshopped with excess. But, I completely agree with you, it’s ridiculous. Just ridiculous.

  22. nice approach…finally someone who has the guts to say it…loved your article
