Trend Alert: Statement Soles!

Chunky, funky, bejeweled, bedazzled, and higher than high! These shoes are like wearable art.

Personally, I think these shoes are awesome! But, I think I will admire them from afar. If I tried to wear them I would inevitably end up like this girl:

Poor thing! I hope she was ok!

  1. Hahah the first pair always makes me laugh because they’re modeled after HOOVES!
And ahh this is why I adore shoes, they really are works of art!

  2. um…..i think these shoes are…uhhh…interesting. but the first pair..sorry, they’re hideous!

Heehee, do you know I still chuckle at the thought of that comment you got. I hope she didn’t get heartburn, she sounded very upset. LOL, it cracks me up…hahahahahahahaha.

Sorry, onto this post, I definitely appreciate the artistic aspects and as much as I can admire them, I can bring myself to walk in shoes (let’s pretend I could afford these babies) that look uncomfortable to walk in. And that poor model, seriously hope she didn’t break her ankles, that second fall – man she was shaking. I’d be a terrible model, I would’ve crawled off after the first fall. I would’ve worked the hands and knees ;)

  4. wow, these are….interesting. I would never wear them, but you’re right, they are nice to look at from afar. And that poor model!

  5. I’m not that big a fan of the first pair, but I do love the other ones. Very cool and fierce. Shoes can definitely be a statement, a work of art. Hope your week is going well so far. Cheers!

  6. Alexander McQueen right? Soooo crazy yet soooo cool looking. They look like future shoes.

  7. ahahahaha best post ever, ok is the first shoe even possible? like wtf that is fashion suicide. That thing should remain in a glass box forreeever lol

  8. These shoes are hideously fabulous; especially the first pair. I actually was pretty horrified when I realized that it was a shoe & that was a real woman’s leg/foot lol. Creepy. The last “invisible” heeled shoe is hot, if you actually add heels!

I think I’ll steer clear of the artistic shoe movement and keep on keepin on with my DSW’s, Charlotte Russe’s & Journey’s lol

  9. these are some seriously odd shoes. :) at least you’ll stand out in a crowd, and no-one will ever forget you… “oh of course you remember HER! she was the girl with THOSE shoes!” hahaha.

  10. Those shoes are very interesting, but definitely not wearable.
And those last pair of shoes: how do walk in them?!
Oh noooo, I feel so bad for that model! (trying not to laugh at her, hehe!!!)

  11. Wow, those are some killer shoes! I’m sorry but I want to be able to walk when I’m old, so I’d say “No thank you” to those super-high-and-stylish heels :)

  12. Those McQ shoes are INSANE!

PS: how funny you went to Cuse- I went for undergrad!

  13. I would most def eat the dirt in those!

  14. Stunning, darling!
    These truly are ART!

  15. I didn’t see this video before…poor model…it must have been the worse day of her life…I feel so sorry for her….

about the shoes, I agree: they are only to be admired….not wearable…

  16. I gave a lot of credit to all the models that have to wear those shoes and not fall down. I really want to see someone in real life wear those heels though! Thank you for such a sweet comment on my blog! xxoxooxoxxooxxoo

  17. Those shoes are very uncomfortable to look at! It hurts me eyes to look at them, honestly. It would be entirely suicidal to try wearing them, yikes!

  18. omg. the alien mcqueens are literally what my nightmares are made of.

  19. WOW! Solely a post of EXCELLENCY !!!
I luv these soles they have that WOW factor but I confess I would end up on the ground with something BROKEN !!!:))
