Here are three fashion resolutions I hope to keep this new year.
♥ Introduce color to my wardrobe: So here is the thing. I was casually meandering my giant walk in closet and I couldn’t help but notice that everything was black or grey. That has to change. So I bought a green dress. I figure that is a good start.
♥ Show my nails some love: In college, my roommate used to make fun of me because I am pretty much horrible at doing my own nails. However, I have begun noticing that other girls/women are really good at painting their own nails. As a girl who loves freshly done nails, but hates spending money, I want to be one of those girls who can paint her own nails like a pro. So I will become an amateur nail pro in 2012.
♥ Acquaint myself with a dry cleaner and actually go there and drop off my clothes: So here is a secret. When an item of clothing says “dry clean only” I usually don’t wash it. I either don’t ever wear it or I spray it with febreeze to freshen it up when the mood strikes me right. Sounds gross but don’t act like you don’t do the same! So this year, I am going to be bff with my dry cleaner. Not just go on special occasions (or sneak my dry cleaning into my fiance’s dry cleaning bag– works every time, though)
What are your fashion resolutions?

Stumble It!

I have a friend who does the Febreez thing. I generally rely on the power of my perfume, lol. My goal is to be “put together” at all times. Please note, as I write this I’m in scrub pants and my oldest college sweatshirt.
wow Clare sie-eye at the not dry cleaning your close.
My new year fashion resolution are:
1. Wear all of my clothes, not just the one I think I look thinner in.
2. Wear all of my heels, beauty is pain… eek!
3. Try new hairstyles
4. Make my own unique accessories.
Clarabelle- you need to buy Dryelle! It is at-home dry cleaning (for real) that actually cleans your dry-clean only clothes. P&G used to own it, and I’m a die-hard addicted user, as I hate to drop off and pick up at the dry-cleaner (cause it’s always closed, when I’m free)!
These are literally the exact same things I need to start doing this year! And I need to actually wake up early enough to look cute on a regular basis. It’s so easy in college just to go to class in norts (people know what that means right? it’s nike shorts, haha) and a big t shirt because that’s literally what everyone wears in college! It’s definitely slob-mode central.
I need to wear more color too! It most be a New York thing or something. Here are the rest of mine: http://shadesofsarah.wordpress.com/2012/01/01/style-resolutions/ #shamelessplug
i am the same way about the clothes in my closet. i’m adding more color as well. and i like to do my own home manicures!
i usually have my hubby take my ‘dry clean only’ clothes with his dress shirts.
good fashion resolutions!
i honestly don’t wash my dry clean only clothes either. they really don’t get dirty though………………… hah. Regardless, my boyfriend has recently acquainted me with the dry cleaners so I am easing into it.
Mine are to loose the last 5 lbs of baby weight and to buy some new clothes! If that doesn’t happen by Valentine’s Day, stop leaving in denial and buy some new clothes of my current size!

I definitely want to add more colour to my style, and maybe some fun prints too.
Love your new resolutions babe!
xx
I’m there with you on the nails, sister! Although, in NYC, it might be cheaper in the time sense to get them did once a week! Also, I once read a post by a really popular fashion blogger (can’t remember who) who gets ALL of her clothing dry cleaned, even her cheapy pieces from Forever 21 or H&M. She claims that dry cleaning the cheaper materials a) made them last longer and b) made them look more expensive/high end. While I don’t have the budget for that, I do try to dry clean some of my tops from the Gap that I got on super sale to keep them looking crisp. One day I’ll be able to afford to dry clean my LIFE.
xo
Like this outfit so much. ^ ^
You look amazing in whatever you put on Twin. Can’t wait to see the new style pics as the year progresses!
