Now that we are deep in the bleak midwinter, I am struggling to come up with cute things to wear. I mostly just want to wear a giant, weatherproof, feather-filled suit that covers my entire body from head to toe.
Another thing is that I accidentally took these photos in front of a sign that said “Danger Asbestos” — which was kind of a buzz kill during editing. Hopefully I don’t die/I should probably pay more attention to my surroundings.
Also, please don’t mind my hair. The wind was blowing at basically 100 mph. Bangs+Wind=Bad Time.

Serious question though, why don’t you blog an outfit that’s practical AND stylish? I remember the first time I went to Paris I stressed so much about how I could look fashionable enough on the street in the dead of winter that the Parisians wouldn’t sneer at me and blow me off as a daggy tourist. As an Australian, I had no clothes for less than 7C, let alone fashionable ones.
Surely there’s similar pressure in NYC. Finding a practical AND stylish outfit in winter would be a true challenge, and I’d like to see you muster up your layering skills to try it.
You look fabulous here, asbestos and all. I’m lucky to be in FL where the winter is a little less harsh but I definitely wish there was one more season so things went by a little faster and I could switch up my wardrobe one more time a year!
