3 Halloween Costume Ideas For Lazy Girls Who Are Also Broke

Maybe Halloween snuck up on you this year. Or maybe you’re like me and you spent an insane amount of money on your toddler’s costume so now there is no money left for you. Either way, Halloween is here and you need a costume.

Here are three costume ideas that are insanely easy to cobble together and should cost little to no money at all. They are also fairly warm, so you don’t have to worry about a post-Halloween cold.

Remember all those photos of Mary Kate and Ashley from the early 2000’s? They were always wandering around the streets wearing a hodgepodge of ill-fitting clothes, staring at their phones, and guzzling Starbucks. Well, that look makes for a perfect Halloween costume. Just pile on a bunch of your clothes, don’t worry about matching them or whether or not they fit. Next, mess up your hair a bit, and put on some large sunglasses. Finally, before you head out, grab your favorite Starbucks drink to guzzle like you haven’t drank anything in days.

The Pensive Detective (Or the snooping reporter)

If you have a trench coat, a pen, and a pad of paper you pretty much have this entire costume on lock. I added a tie and some smart-looking glasses for dramatic effect, but those items aren’t necessary. To really drive the look home, interrogate people ruthlessly at your Halloween party. It will make the atmosphere more enjoyable for everyone.

Rosie the Riveter

This is definitely the easiest costume ever. We all have a chambray top, and a bandana is about a dollar at your local craft store. You don’t even have to wear makeup with this look. I wore red lipstick because it matched the bandana, though.  Just make sure you do a small pin curl at the front of your head to really make the look authentic.

Boom! You just won Halloween!

This post is my life. I’m always to lazy or on a budget to do anything extravagant for Halloween. Might have to be a pensive investigator.
