Plaid and Tulle

I have been dying to try this look since I saw a bride do it on Pinterest ages ago. Then when other bloggers started catching on I knew I had to execute this look, fo sho! The only thing was, I didn’t want a white tulle skirt. It was a bit too bridal-y for me. Luckily, Alexandra Grecco makes her adorable tulle skirt in grey, too! Yay.

I love this look and hope you do too.

Your Mom Goes to College

Is the title of this post inappropriate? I always feel like a Napoleon Dynamite reference is necessary. Also, these photos were shot at the beautiful Columbia University. So yea, the title is spot on.

Clarabelle vs. The Wind

Here’s the thing. I straightened my hair specifically for these photos because I wanted to be fancy. So after 45 minutes of flat ironing (and an additional 15 minutes of me being slightly shocked and impressed that there was a time in my life when I used to flat iron my hair all the time) I was ready for my close up.

Then I got outside.

It was so darn windy out there that I thought I was going to blow away. These pictures are some of the select few when my hair wasn’t blowing in the wind like a crazy woman’s. My husband said the wind was “sexy”. But he is too nice for his own good.

OH and another thing. This is my grandmother’s skirt. Thanks grandma!!! xoxo
