Harlem Holiday

leopard and chambrayUsTrendy sent me this adorable top. I am a sucker for a power shoulder — and when you combine a shoulder pad with leopard print it is a recipe for amazingness! This shirt certainly delivers, amiright?? I shouldn’t be gushing over this shirt so much because, sadly, it is sold out, but I encourage you to check out the rest of UsTrendy’s stuff.

‘Cuz sometimes you can’t wear heels

I know it is a cardinal sin for style bloggers not to wear heels. But heels aren’t my favorite things — #1 They hurt #2 they make me very TALL — and not cute tall either. More like a man dressed as a woman tall. So, flats it is!

Black Peplum

So here’s the thing. Peplum skirts are HARD to style. Who knew?! I like to be totally transparent on this blog and I will honestly tell you that I had a tough, tough time styling this skirt to my liking. Soooo, as I figure out exactly how I want to wear this skirt, you may see it on the blog a lot. So get ready for a peplum explosion.

Love or Fug? Peplum

So, I will be the first to admit that when I saw peplum creep into waistlines last Fall, I thought it was just another fad like leggings or dying the tips of your hair pink. I was wrong. Peplum is still around and getting even more popular!

For boy-shaped gals like me, the idea of creating a hourglass figure with little bits of fabric is quite exciting — but peplum isn’t for everyone. In fact, I find that the style is very polarizing.

So where do you fall in spectrum? Do you love Peplum or think it’s totally fug?
