Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing. Could it be?? Has Spring finally sprung? It sort of looks like it, though at times it doesn’t feel like it. At this point, though, anything is progress. This weather has been brutal.

Little Black Dress and a Pickup Truck
Husband and I are here in sunny Virginia for Christmas. I must say that Virginia is quite a photogenic state. This pickup is amazing, right? I spotted it as soon as we arrived at my parent’s home and I knew I had to take photos with it. Luckily, I had this necklace to match it.

Oh look, another sweater/button down combo.
Remember back in October when I showed you my Fall/Winter uniform? Well I wasn’t joking when I said I wear the same thing in a different color every day when it is cold out. If you read this blog throughout the winter months, you will find a vast array of different ways you can wear the same four sweaters and button downs in various combinations to make new outfits. It is an art form and I am working tirelessly to perfect it.

Follow the yellow brick road
I must admit, I am a sucker for the uber feminine. I spotted this adorably fabulous frock and I just fell in love.
Clearly the designer was inspired by Dorothy’s girly look in the Wizard of Oz. I am inspired by the fantastic full skirt, the soft blue color and the gorgeous silhouette it creates. If could wear a dress like this every day I would be in heaven.
Don’t you see? This is why I need a sewing machine… and I also need to learn how to use it. But baby steps, ya’ll. Sewing machine first. I will learn to sew later.
