Everyday Style

I have often wondered when I would get sick of my chambray shirts. It’s been years and they are still my favorite things, so I see no end in sight. I see myself as a little old lady rocking my chambray and being the fanciest lady in the old folks home. Shoes: (old, but these are similar) | Skirt: Trunk Up | Chambray: J. Crew Factory

Come on, Spring

Full disclosure — it was cold when I took these photos. I am getting to the point where I am dressing in my Spring clothes in an effort to rush the process along. Maybe if I dress Spring-y the weather will stay warm.   Shoes: Nine West (love these) | Dress: Humble Chic c/0 | Top: JCrew | Bracelets: Bauble Bar

Parisian Prep

This is the time of year when the weather can’t decide whether it wants to be hot or cold. So layers are essential. Also, I got the Ann Revere coil ring and I think my jewelry life is complete. Shoes: JCrew Factory (similar) | Jeans: J. Crew Factory | Shirt: Humble Chic | Jacket: J. Crew Factory | Bag: TJ Maxx (similar) | Necklace: Ann Revere | Coil Ring: Ann Revere | Other rings: H&M (similar)

Crabby Casual

I like to use my blog as a place to play dress up. But the reality is, life is not all five inch heels and tulle skirts. It is a lot of flats and sweaters and comfortable clothes that I can move freely in. This outfit is more like what I would wear day-to-day. It’s easy, cute, and it hides baby drool well. Hannah is going through an extra sticky phase. So I need my attire to work really hard to disguise random baby food stains. Shoes: Brooks Brothers | Pants: J. Crew | Sweater: J. Crew Factory (love this) | Jacket: […]

Mixing and Matching

Mixing patterns is one of my favorite go-to looks. People will often say, ‘Oh I could never pull off so many different patterns.’ First of all, that is so not true. You got this. Second of all, mixing patterns is shockingly easy. It just looks like a sartorial feat. The first tip is to make sure the two patterns have similar colors. In this look, navy blue was the unifying shade. The second tip is to make sure one pattern is fairly basic to anchor the look. Stripes or polka dots are best for the anchoring print. The other print should be much […]

I abuse my handbags. I put them on the floor, I spill stuff on them, stuff leaks in them — I really put them through their paces. So for everyday toting of things, I carry an inexpensive handbag that can handle my abuse. Enter, the canvas duffle. I love a canvas duffle. I can put my stuff and the baby’s stuff in the duffle and I won’t have a full meltdown if lipgloss leaks all inside of it. I got this tote from BBlackbox, and it comes in other colors too! ps — you can get 15% off your BBlackbox purchase using claraBELLE15. So you should […]

Fall Prep

This is the best time of year for layering because you can layer for looks instead of warmth. I mean when else can you wear a puffy vest and sandals? No other time, that’s when. ALSO, I recently became obsessed with The Gap. I used to shop there in high school, but I stopped in favor of more trendy clothes from Express. Y’all I LOVED me some Express in high school. I once bought a tank top with a giant sparkly flower on it and nobody could tell me nothin’ with that tank on! Anyway, back to the Gap. I sort […]

Snuggly Layers

Despite the title, in my head I am calling this my ‘sick post’ as both me and my hubby were super sick with terrible colds when these photos were taken. We peeled ourselves off the coach long enough to get some fresh air on the roof and snap some shots. I can’t say the excursion made us feel any better, but it was fun! Shoes: Piperlime c/o | Jeans: J. Brand | Jacket: J. Crew Factory | Sweater: Piperlime c/o | Hat: H&M

Top to bottom denim

I found some of my old J. Crew tie belts from high school. I decided to single handedly bring these back. They are so cute! Shoes: Kate Spade (I die for these) | Jeans: H&M | Belt: J. Crew (similar) | Top: J. Crew

Prep-in for Fall

Whenever Fall rolls around my style gets about a thousand times preppier. What can I say? Cable knits and button downs are much warmer than more edgy options. Coat: J. Crew | Shirt: J. Crew | Jeans: H&M | Shoes: Shabby Apple (they don’t do shoes anymore, but it’s still a great shop) | Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane
