This is the best time of year for layering because you can layer for looks instead of warmth. I mean when else can you wear a puffy vest and sandals? No other time, that’s when.
ALSO, I recently became obsessed with The Gap. I used to shop there in high school, but I stopped in favor of more trendy clothes from Express. Y’all I LOVED me some Express in high school. I once bought a tank top with a giant sparkly flower on it and nobody could tell me nothin’ with that tank on!
Anyway, back to the Gap. I sort of forgot about the place until Hannah arrived. The Gap has some of the best baby clothes because they are 100% cotton, can be washed a lot, and they don’t have weird little sayings on everything. Also, they constantly have sales, which is helpful since Hannah grows out of her clothes so quickly. I decided to buy a pair of Gap jeans while I was getting Hannah some new duds and they were amazing. So yea, now I love The Gap.

A Dress A Day Till Christmas Day: You guys, I forgot to post a dress on Friday’s post! So today I am sharing two dresses. In honor of the holidays I chose one dress that’s a tiny bit naughty and one dress that’s nice.
Despite the title, in my head I am calling this my ‘sick post’ as both me and my hubby were super sick with terrible colds when these photos were taken. We peeled ourselves off the coach long enough to get some fresh air on the roof and snap some shots. I can’t say the excursion made us feel any better, but it was fun!

I found some of my old J. Crew tie belts from high school. I decided to single handedly bring these back. They are so cute!
Shoes: Kate Spade (I die for these) | Jeans: H&M | Belt: J. Crew (similar) | Top: J. Crew
Whenever Fall rolls around my style gets about a thousand times preppier. What can I say? Cable knits and button downs are much warmer than more edgy options.
Coat: J. Crew | Shirt: J. Crew | Jeans: H&M | Shoes: Shabby Apple (they don’t do shoes anymore, but it’s still a great shop) | Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane
I am trying to wear a lot of green this week in honor of St. Paddy’s. Also, anyone else really, really looking forward to finally wearing a sundress or something that isn’t a sweater?? Cuz I am so ready for Spring/Summer outfits.
Boots: Frye (similar) | Jeans: J. Brand (similar) | Shirt: J. Crew | Sweater: Asos (old, but love this for the holidays)
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Did anyone else overindulge yesterday?
It’s ok — diet starts Jan 1, anyway.
Okay, so I am a little bit obsessed with my balcony. Even though it is just a concrete slab with a guard rail and two camping chairs that serve as decor, I happen to think it is very fancy. These lovely Fall days are a perfect time to sit out on the balcony and do some reading and some (responsible — hello! balcony safety, people!) drinking and also some smoking of cigars if you are my husband.

If you know me, you know I LOVE a critter sweater. In fact, this very sweater I am wearing is internet famous from this post. This scottie sweater has been pinned and tumbled literally thousands of times. So I know you all love critter sweaters just as much as me!
Unfortunately, this specific sweater is no longer available. However, the J.Crew Factory has an adorable bulldog sweater that is just too cute to pass up.

These photos were taken on sunny Lake George. I was there last weekend, and the weather was just gorgeous. Old Georgie really came through for me this weekend, as it is common knowledge that winter (my least favorite season) in upstate New York lasts from September to June.
Outfit is head-to-toe J. Crew
It’s rare that I shoot in iconic NYC places like the theater district. The theaters are near Times Square, and Times Square is basically a square mile of hell that should be avoided at all costs. We happened to be in the neighborhood, and we miraculously found a quiet block to shoot some photos.
Now let me tell you. This location was quiet for approximately five minutes. You can’t tell from these photos but, and I kid you not, about 5 feet away from me this group of people were arguing. One lady stood between me and Matt for about two minutes yelling at a man in the street. She was completely oblivious to the fact that he was trying taking photos.
It was kind of uncomfortable, but this turned out to be a great photo location. Despite the random argument.
