Flower Girl

You can barely tell that it is 2,000 degrees and everyone is sweating profusely in these photos. But the crepe myrtles are so lovely — I just had to get a photo with them Dress: Asos | Shoes: Go Jane (similar)

Tribal

You guys, it is truly a miracle these photos turned out well. My legs are so covered in bruises and bug bites that I feel like I’m in the fifth grade. It’s not an ideal look, but I am owning it. That’s why I look so serious in these photos. I have to be serious to make up for the bug bites. Everything I am wearing is J.Crew Factory: Shorts | Shirt | Shoes (love these)

It’s So Hot

It is SO HOT! I am talking humid and sticky and sweaty. I love summer, but my armpits do not. I love this romper from Humble Chic. It isn’t something I would usually pick out for myself, but it is perfect for summer. It is so light and airy and flowy. Also, the fact that it is pants and not a dress makes kid-caused wardrobe malfunctions less likely. Dress: Humble Chic | Shoes: Nine West (Similar) | Bag: Humble Chic

Here Comes The Sun

It has been a really tough few days here in the USA. I don’t usually talk about politics or social issues here because this is a fashion blog, it’s not exactly heavy hitting stuff. But I do want to say a few things. I think in times like these, compassion is so important. Compassion and the ability to understand and acknowledge your position of privilege. If you read this blog, you are likely a person who enjoys a relatively high degree of privilege. No, you aren’t a millionaire — but privilege isn’t always about extreme wealth. You are privileged because you […]

Five Cute Sundresses Under $50

Fact: You don’t need to spend a lot to look amazing. Here’s proof. I have to start with a black dress because I have such a hard time resisting them. This dress is a little more than $30 and is perfect to wear basically every day this summer. A flowy beautiful maxi dress for $30? Yes, girl! I love this dress because you could dress it up or down. Are you dying to try the off-the-shoulder trend without spending a lot of money? This dress is so cute and is only $38. I love the cut of this dress. It […]

Keeping in Casual

I am not sure about you guys, but I have been getting eaten alive by mosquitos and spiders and other awful creepy crawlies that live outside. So I have been wearing pants (despite the humidity) to keep the critters away. I definitely need a good bug spray, stat! Also, prepare yourself to see more of this hairstyle. It is so easy and humidity-proof! Score! Shirt: C. Wonder (old, but love this) | Shoes: J.Crew Factory (similar) | Jeans: J. Crew Factory | Bag: Clare V p.s. Another piece I wrote for Mode is live! It is all about the insane […]

In leiu of a Friday Fab Four (don’t worry, it will be back next week). I am showcasing a Friday Fab ONE. This polka dot dress. I am so excited to be teaming up with the lovely ladies over at Thred Up again to show off this amazing sheath I got from there. You guys, this is a Kate Spade dress that retailed for $400. On Thred Up it was $75. Yes — seventy five dollars. It is in impeccable condition and I want to wear it every day. Dress: Thred Up c/o | Shoes: Nine West (obsessed with these!) | Clutch: Similar

Casual Turban

This head scarf situation happened totally by accident. I wanted to wear it as a headband but it was a bit too long so I needed to knot it. But I think it came out ok! Shoes: Sweetest Stitch | Shorts: I just made them myself out of some old jeans | Top: Humble Chic | Scarf: Humble Chic

floral skirt black top and red shoes

Floral Fever

I love the vintage-inspired pattern on this skirt. It is pretty and it hides stains like a boss. Trust me, I know. Also I did have a lovely necklace for this post but it got lost somewhere in the depths of Hannah’s diaper bag. I may never find it again. Shoes: Nordstrom (there is a flat version that I NEED) | Skirt: Sincerely Sweet Boutique | Top — it’s actually a dress, though: Lulus (similar)
